Well, this video could use some editing but here it is. A totally useless application demonstrating the vision capabilities of LabVIEW. Watch a camera mounted on an X-Y motion platform tracking the movements of a goldfish in a fish tank.
I just downloaded the free Spore creature creator. I created my first creature, took some photos of it and even uploaded a video to Youtube directly from the software. All of the above in just half an hour of playing with it. It’s pretty slick.

Mike, thanks for your kind words. I know the problem with the voice. The reason for the poor voice quality was that I was using only the camcorder internal microphone and it was rather far away. I guess I’ve to get a decent external microphone to get better quality voice. Anyway this was my first real video project so I still have a lot to learn…
p.s. I added a LabVIEW channel to Vimeo. The nice thing about Vimeo is that they allow HD (1280×720p) quality videos and that is pretty nice feature when dealing with LabVIEW screen casts.
